Nash Bash Information
From: Derryl Pitts, President
Date: Mar 9, 2010

The Tennessee Rugby Foundation cordially invites Southeastern Rugby to the 7th Annual NASH BASH U-19 Rugby Festival. Hosted by Vanderbilt University, the U-19 Bash will be held on March 13th and 14th, 2010.

Each side is guaranteed two games on Saturday and one game on Sunday. In the festival spirit, teams of similar competition levels, but diverse geographic locations, will be placed together to create exciting match-ups. The Nashville weather in March is great for rugby, offering teams from cooler climates a chance to get in some early season games and teams from warmer parts to get in some extra work before playoffs. All games will be officiated by USA Rugby certified referees experienced at refereeing at the high school level, and a medical tent staffed by professional trainers will be on site.

We apologize for the delay in getting these details to you, but the schedules for the matches were only just finalized yesterday, clearing us now to move forward with our travel plans.

The boys' coaches have selected the following players to attend NASH BASH based on availability and readiness to play at the Division 1 level.

The fees cover hotel accommodations for one night (which include breakfast the next morning), along with passenger van rentals, Saturday Lunch, and a Team Dinner at Bucca Di Beppo on Saturday night. The only other cash needed will be to cover whatever you wish to eat on the drive to and from Nashville; and to purchase souvenirs.

The primary difference is the cost in hotels.

The boys will be staying at:

Country Inn and Suites - Nashville Airport
590 Donelson Pike
Nashville, TN 37214
615-874-8040

The girls will be staying at:

Next week, we will announce travel plans in terms of meeting and leaving times. Expect to be LEAVING EARLY SATURDAY MORNING!

The Boys will have (2) 10-person passenger vans, and the girls will have (1) 10-person passenger van. We will still need a couple of parents to serve as drivers as it is our policy that players not drive themselves to any matches that are outside the city. If interested in driving, please reply back with the number of seat belts you will have available.

Parents are more than welcome to attend, however space is very limited due to the SEC tournament also being in Nashville that weekend as well. I would suggest making a call directly the hotels as soon as possible so as to secure your arrangements. We do know that there are extra rooms available at the Country Inn and Suites, but do not know about the Hampton. However, as the hotels are next door to each other, Girls parents may wish to contact the Country Inn and Suites as well. Please

Boys, please bring your checks made out to SOUTHEASTERN RUGBY, to the Carmel Scrimmage on Saturday.

Girls, please get your checks to Coach Marcotte at your Monday practice.

This will be a great opportunity so please be sure to you check and waiver forms in.
See your coaches with any questions.

Cheers!
